FAQ's

Do I need a fishing license?

*No. Lighthouse Fishing charters carries a  U.S. Coast Guard license that covers the passengers onboard. No need to buy a license for your trip with us.

What is included in the trip?

*Bait and tackle is provided

*Any catch kept for table fare will be cleaned and bagged by your captain

*All safety gear is provided for the day

What do I need to bring?

*Food and choice of beverage for the day (Alcoholic beverages are certainly allowed, however we ask that you know your limits. Your captain reserves the right to end the trip at any time he feels you have surpassed your limit and no refund will be given).

*Camera for capturing your memories

*Sunscreen 

*Sunglasses are recommended

What if the weather prevents us from fishing?

*Staying safe is THE #1 priority. If the captain makes the decision to call trip off before we leave the dock due to weather, there will be no charge to you. 

What if we have more than 5 anglers in our fishing group?

*No problem at all. We can arrange to have other guides team up with us to handle as many as you can bring. Each boat will charge the amount associated with the trip you selected. 

What are some other things to do while we are in town?

Visiting the USS Alabama Battleship is always a big hit. Step back in time and tour this piece of history. Your can also tour the aircraft pavillion and the submarine USS Drum.

* Need some gear for your trip? Make a stop at the Spanish Fort Bass Pro Shop

*Take a walk through the Gulf Quest Maritime Museum.

*Spend the day at OWA where you can ride the roller coasters and chose from many great restaurants.

*Who doesn't like go carts? Hop in a cart and race each other at The Track.

*One of the most popular things to do these days is toss an ax at a target visit Bad Axe and try your hand hitting the target. 

*Visit an incredible piece of history built in 1819. Ft Morgan was instrumental in at least 3 wars. Take a tour or try your hand at an escape room. 

*Looking to do a little shopping while you are in town? Visit the Tanger Outlet Stores for great deals. 

*For more shopping, dinning and maybe even an outdoor concert come on down to The Wharf.

*Lucy Buffett (Yes that is Jimmy's sister) has created a real local treat for waterfront dinning, libations and play areas for the kids. LuLu's is fun for the entire family.
